Connect to Learn

Connect to Learn promotes access to secondary education for young children with a focus on girls that are exposed to HIV/AIDS, forced marriage, or violence. A joint partnership organized by the Earth Institute at Columbia University, Ericsson, and the Millennium Promise, Connect to Learn is a global initiative that supports 762 scholars in 10 African countries through a network of technology and nonprofit partners in the public and private sectors. Initially introduced in the Millennium Villages Project (MVP) , Connect to Learn is organized around a community-led framework that complements the interconnected challenges of the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ). The initiative provides financial assistance, communications technologies that support online learning, and educational resources to enhance economic opportunities to help lift families out of poverty.
