What They Do

The objective of the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is to accelerate the progress of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the implementation of the Paris Climate Agreement.

Providing support and guidance to a range of stakeholders including research institutions, universities, and technical organizations, the network is comprised of United Nations agencies, financial institutions, and organizations from the public and private sector in addition to individuals and experts that are developing innovative and technological solutions to solve the interconnected sustainable development challenges associated with the Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ).

Overseen by senior UN advisor and Professor of Economics Jeffrey D. Sachs, SDSN promotes global educational initiatives and research partnerships to achieve the scale required for long-term strategies for sustainable development.

Blue Chip Foundation participated in the initial discussions and drafting of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that evolved from the Millennium Development Goal (MDG) Agenda. Jennifer Gross serves on SDSN’s leadership council and the board of SDSN Association. Blue Chip Foundation supports SDSN’s initiatives that include The World Happiness Report, Deep Decarbonization Pathways Project, Ethics in Action and the SDG Academy.

SDG Academy

The SDG Academycreates and curates free, graduate-level courses on sustainable development for students around the world.

From sustainable cities to human rights to climate action, each of our courses addresses the fundamental challenge facing our world today: How do people, communities, governments and companies not only coexist, but also cooperate and collaborate, to save the one planet we have?

As a massive open online education platform, SDG Academy's courses are fully interactive, so you can meet, debate and learn from both our global faculty of sustainable development experts and your fellow students.
